Expansion “Made in Germany” remains on track
Hansgrohe SE remains on track with its expansion plans. The renowned mixer and shower producer from Schiltach in the Black Forest has just founded its latest branch office in Panama, targeting further developments within Central America and Caribbean markets. The newly opened office headquartered in Panama City, is a proud addition to further representative offices in 42 countries across the globe, on all continents. “The systematic internationalisation in opening up markets made a key contribution to the fact that we have more than doubled our sales revenues in the past ten years,” explained Siegfried Gänßlen, CEO of Hansgrohe SE, at the inauguration of the new branch office. “Operating on a global scale is one of the reasons why Hansgrohe has succeeded in absorbing the consequences of the 2008/2009 major crisis and the current economic weakness in the euro zone.” He said that future growth would also be driven above all by foreign operations, in particular in the emerging markets. “We anticipate that roughly 50 per cent of our total growth will be generated from these emerging markets,” said Gänßlen. Even today, their share of the total volume of business amounts to about 35 percent. In 2005, their contribution to Hansgrohe’s net sales had been in the region of 21 percent. In the process, the company, whose production measured in terms of sales revenues amounts to roughly 80 percent, benefits from the high status assigned by international clients to the quality hallmark “Made in Germany”.
