Corian Glacier Ice wall panelling was used, which was back engraved and backlit to create a feature divider wall. The ceiling has been decorated with hand-made lights and wooden pieces, also designed for their calming effect on the acoustics.

Corian is being used in many applications within retail environments, and this shopping centre project highlights the sculptural cladding attributes of Corian products.

The Canberra Centre Food Court had an internal refurbishment of the existing food court at Canberra’s premier shopping centre. The revamped food court also has 10 new food outlets included, along with a more upmarket ambience built into the design.

There is free wi-fi connectivity, an increase in seating capacity from 470 to 860 and a move towards a more upmarket ambience with marble tabletops, subdued lighting, a vertical garden and Corian bench seating around the perimeter divider walls. The circular columns were formed using Glacier White Corian to ensure an easily maintained, yet robust surface for this busy area.
