‘Cool’ powder coating technology to lower energy consumption

Interpon Cool Chemistry® from Interpon Powder Coatings is a unique heat reflective form of powder coating that reflects infrared light, lowering metal substrate temperatures, heat retention and cooling costs.

Designed for use on aluminium or steel substrates lab testing within a model enclosure shows Cool Chemistry powder coatings can create a 20˚C drop in substrate surface temperature, resulting in a 10˚C reduction in internal temperatures when compared to standard powder coatings.

Designed to lower energy costs associated with electronic cooling or fan systems, Cool Chemistry is particularly suited to aluminium wall cladding, electrical switch boxes and any application that would benefit from a cooler to touch surface such as playground equipment and fencing.

Designed for three ranges, including Interpon D1000 residential powder coatings for aluminium, Interpon D1000 Excel for steel and Interpon TC, Cool Chemistry performs best on dark colours but is available in a near endless colour range to suit any project.
